Here are some of the most common questions we get. Yours isn't here?
No problem, just give us a call or e-mail us with anything you would like to
know.
Where do we take off?
All flights depart from Randall Airport in Middletown, NY. We are about
an hour from New York City and 30 minutes from northern New Jersey.
When can I fly?
We offer airplane rides 7 days a week, weather and schedule permitting.
The morning hours are usually smoother. The afternoons tend to be more
bumpy due to the Sun's radiant heating. You must call to schedule your
flight. We can usually accommodate same day requests.
Is weather an issue?
Yes, it is. For a sightseeing flight
we want good visibility and clear skies. Give us a call the day before
your scheduled flight to get a weather check. If the weather doesn't work
out, we'll reschedule the flight with you.
Is it noisy in the plane?
All
passengers will be offered noise reducing headsets. There is a microphone
attached to each headset that allows passengers to talk to each other through
the intercom.
Is it a bumpy ride?
The morning weather is usually smoother. If you are prone to motion
sickness, then the early morning flight is definitely for you! Be sure to
mention any feelings of illness to your pilot. Remember, we are never more
than a few minutes to the airport and we can have you safely on the ground in no
time!
Can I take pictures?
Of course you can! Video is fine too!
What will we fly over?
The Lower Hudson Valley is absolutely
beautiful! The Shawangunk Ridge to the north is spectacular, especially in
the fall. Lush farmland and rolling green hills make up much of the
valley. You might choose to fly over historic West Point or the scenic
vistas of High Point, NJ. The Mohonk Mountain House and the majestic
Hudson River are within reach as well.
Can we fly over my house?
Maybe. There are some airspace
restrictions in our flying area. Let us know where you live and if we
can accommodate you, we will!
